First Things First
Write your goals down don’t just think about them I’m serious. I used to always read that advice and think I don’t have to actually write it down …. Well you do so do it right now if possible. Write it on your phone, on a piece of paper on you mirror wherever you think you will be able to access it fast and easy.
Give yourself a period of time when your goal has to be done by, it can be a week, a month. I would recommend starting small. The goals that I have set and actually accomplished are usually a 60-day goal or a 90-day goal. I make smaller monthly goals just to make things easier to track and actually get done.
Now that you have written your goal and game plan out I want you to visualize what that will look like and how it will feel when you have accomplished your goal. Will that goal mean you will see a certain amount of money in your bank account, will it be a certain amount of pageviews? This will help you stay focused and get you motivated.
Create a Schedule
Calendars, alarms are my best friends. Seriously they are game changers, whenever I use them and create specific times out of the day to accomplish small task things actually get done and I don’t tend to put it off.
Treat Your Blog Like a Job
Think about it if blogging paid you hourly you would definitely get it done so why not think about it that way. It’s all about getting your brain to take this seriously so you can achieve your end goal.
Learn to Love It
Now with having said that you should think about blogging as your job you want it to be something you love to do. In all honesty, if you don’t love it these tips aren’t really going to help you because well you will still hate doing it. Make sure to make it something fun for you even though you do have to take it seriously to get things done.
You can do this by making your workspace fun and bright. I usually head to Staples and get myself some cool stuff. Try adding some cool colors to your workspace add your favorite chair, buy a cool pen that you love to use etc.
It’s Okay to Take Breaks
I know sometimes when we have breaks we tend to stay in them. We get discouraged that we stopped working and just end up not doing anything at all. Go into breaks with the mindset that you will continue. It’s okay to take a day or two if you are feeling overwhelmed.
Get Some Help
To make things easier for you try doing some research on a topic or buy a good e-book. I recommend How To Make Your First Affiliate Sale in 24 Hours e-book, it helped me minimize the time i was spending going in circles trying to find a way to make money.
Check Things Off Your List
This can be a great way to keep you motivated. As you go start to check off your small accomplishments this is like a reward to the brain. The more you check off the closer you will be to your end goal.
I really hope these tips have helped you and will keep you motivated during summer. Commitment and perseverance! I’d love to know your progress make sure to leave a comment. Thank you for reading.
